Nokia X2 Takes a Bullet to Save Owner's Life
Does the Nokia 3310 have an indestructible cousin as well?
As countless internet memes will tell you, the Nokia 3310 is about as indestructible as they come. But what about the company's other phones? We don't know about the rest of them, but it looks like the Nokia X2 is also one sturdy phone. Earlier this morning, a Facebook user reported about an incident occurring in Syria, a country that has been experiencing internal political conflict since early 2011.
Apparently a Nokia X2 owner was using his phone to film a gunfight going on between the rebels and the military when a stray bullet struck the phone, preventing it from hitting the owner. According to the source, the owner was holding the device in his right hand, right in front of his face.
Unfortunately, there aren't more details surrounding the incident and we aren't ballistics experts or anything but the photo seems to indicate the bullet went straight through the front of the phone and out the back.
We may not have the entire story here, but a more likely truth could be that the phone was located in the owner's pocket and softened the blow of the bullet, rather than stopping it altogether. In any case, we'd probably suggest you stay away from any civil war conflict whether you have a Nokia phone or not.

What was that bullet fired from, and made of, to even scratch a nokia?
If it's on the internet it must be true.
and yes i know this model doesn't have windows phone OS but still i know the MS fanboi's will still get their panties in a bunch over this remark
My iphone 3GS fell off my pocket this way quite a few times, but did not leave any scratch on the screen, only some minor scratches on corners.
If I had to choose, I'd rather be hit with a slower flattened bullet than one still jacketed going at around 1000 fps any day. Just my 2 cents as a long time own gun owner.
Yeah this story is complete BS. The story says the phone kept him from getting hit while recording video....well the camera is on the back and it's obvious that the bullet came out the back that alone blows the story. He still would have been hit considering the bullet went completely through the phone. Anyone who has any clue about shooting should know that some plastic and aluminum in a phone might cause the bullet to expand but, but it's not going to slow the bullet down much.
In other news.... guy shoots his old phone, takes a picture with his new phone and says it saved his life.....
Ps. Yeah, it does look like its straight through. Ie, done on purpose.
