Nvidia Delays MCP72 Chipset Until January

Santa Clara (CA) - Nvidia is reportedly delaying the release of its MCP72 chipset until some time in January, pushed back from an original November or December launch. The delay will allow the MCP72 chipset to be released at about the same time as its MCP78 cousin. It is designed to compete against AMD's RD790. Around the same time, a new MCP78S will be arriving with an integrated 8-series GeForce graphics processor (IGP). Pricing is given for these and other products at the link below, and ranges from $55 to $78 for these products with IGP.
