Office Live to come with BI bite

As details of Microsoft's Office Live beta program start to trickle out of the Redmond, Washington software giant, some industry observers are asking whether this product will hurt the established business intelligence vendors like Business Objects, Cognos and Hyperion Solutions.
According to reports from LiveSide, a website set up to track Microsoft's Live-branded initiatives, the Office Live offering is also expected to include a "surprisingly broad and deep" set of BI applications and services, such as dashboarding, reporting and web analytics (traffic reporting, site reports, page statistics, and reporting on which search engine was used).
