Leaked Photos Show LG G2 with Volume Buttons On Back

LG's Optimus G2 might not be official yet, but it seems we're getting a little closer. The fine folks behind the @evleaks Twitter account this week published what purports to be leaked photos of the LG G2. Though it's impossible to tell the specifics of the specs from a photograph, the picture does give away some details about the device, and we've already heard that the phone will pack a full 1080p HD 5-inch display as well as a 2.3 GHz quad-core CPU and 2 GB of RAM.

From the photos, it looks like the back of the phone features some hardware buttons. They look like volume up and down keys and are located just below the camera lens, on either side of the LED flash. Though it's not certain that these are volume keys, it certainly looks that way, and it would be an interesting departure from the norm. Whether or not people will end up constantly wiping fingerprints off their camera lens remains to be seen.

LG last week announced plans for an August 7 event in NYC, which is believed to be the unveiling of the new Optimus G2. Last we heard, the Optimus G2 was headed to the United Kingdom in Q3 of this year, but because the UK never actually got the original Optimus G, it's hard to gauge what that might mean for international availability or even just the North American market.

I think I read about this last weekend.
Nothing yet about the Google Edition SGS4 and HTC One?
    Maybe next week.

How about an analog pad and a few buttons on the back?

I knew that (pretty much the whole world knows about it); I was just pointing out that TH has absolutely no idea about it, or chose to ignore it.
