Panasonic shows SDHC concept camcorder

Hannover (Germany) - Panasonic at Cebit showcased a new compact camcorder that will be using flash memory cards as storage media.
The SDR-10 is hardly larger than a compact digital still camera and very light, thanks to the fact that the device relies on SDHC flash memory cards to store movies and images. A 2 GB SD card will be included with the camcorder when it ships, but Panasonic said that the company will begin offering 8 GB and 16 GB SDHC cards during 2007, allowing consumers to record longer movies. The 16 GB card provides enough space for 400 minutes of standard definition video.
According to Panasonic, the SDR-S10 will include a 10x optical zoom, a 2.7" widescreen LCD
Pricing has not been announced.
