Samsung Ad Shows Slaughter of Cute 'Puppy Laptops'

Everyone knows that commercials have to offer something unique to really catch the eye of the consumer. However, it seems Samsung was a bit wide of the mark with its latest 'Puppy Love' commercial. The ad depicts laptops as needy, eager puppies before showing the laptops' owners slaughtering them in various ways. This includes flinging them off a cliff, bludgeoning them with high heels, and shooting it with a bow and arrow.

Samsung has since pulled the ad, which, naturally, some have said is a little disturbing. CNet cites the Viral Factory, which produced the ad, as saying it made the video private because it was 'clearly upsetting some people,' and that it is reviewing the commercial with Samsung. Though it's not entirely clear, one assumes that the ad intended to highlight the fact that you don't have to say goodbye to your beloved laptop because it's running a little slower than it used to. Instead, give it a new lease of life with an SSD. However, we imagine there are better ways to bid farewell to your treasured pet than picking up the nearest bow and arrow.
