Samsung Electronics has begun producing a 7" LCD for the WVGA display market for mobile devices using a single-chip packaging solution, according to the company. The LCD is aimed at high-end multimedia products such as handsets for digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB), portable multimedia players (PMPs), portable DVD players and portable navigation systems, said Samsung.
