Despite a slow start to the PC market's high season, PC-related chip designers still expect that orders from OEM clients will rise significantly in September, driving shipments up 20% for the third quarter, industry sources indicated. Sources at a major supplier of quartz oscillators said judging from the order visibility for July and August, demand in the PC market is warming up, particularly for the clone segment, due to dropping CPU prices.
