The Surface Pro is Heading for the UK in May

The Surface Pro has been available in the United States, Canada and China since February. However, it looks like Microsoft is finally ready to show us some international love, as the company has announced that the Surface Pro is shipping to the UK, and multiple other countries, next month.

"We know it took us a while to get back to you, but we hear you, and are excited to be able to provide an update on the countries where Surface RT and Surface Pro will be launching in May and June," the Surface Team wrote, promising additional details on retail availability and pricing via Twitter and the Surface blog.

The Surface Pro will hit Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom before the end of May. Additional countries will get the Surface Pro the following month, in June. These countries include Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, and Thailand.

Surface RT availability is also expanding, with the more budget-friendly Surface hitting Mexico by the end of May and in Korea and Thailand in June. The Surface RT is available in 26 markets already.

I've had my Surface Pro since it was released and absolutely love it. Hopefully countries now getting it will be able to enjoy the product as well.

Would be interesting to see a Surface Pro with a Haswell CPU and integrated graphics. Or maybe the following generation.

I have been waiting for this, since my last laptop died of old age I was stuck on getting a tablet, or a netbook, this will let me have both and I have deliberatey let myself do without for nearly 9 months just to get it. I have no issues with the FUD that has been pushed out regarding drive space and the battery life is acceptable to me.
