Asustek Computer and Advantech, the largest manufacturers of motherboards and industrial PCs (IPCs), respectively, in Taiwan, on September 30, announced the formation of a strategic alliance through cross-holding and the establishment of a joint venture in the second quarter of 2006 to provide IPC design & manufacturing services (DMS).
