Another Look at Battlestar Galactica Online...CGI
More CGI space battles.
Yes, we know you've seen a ton of game trailers over the past few days, but hey, it was E3. Now that the show has come to an end, the long wait begins before some of these fantastic games hit the store shelves or your online vendor of choice.
Because we're all Battlestar Galactica fans here, we want to share with you this E3 trailer for BSG Online, which is curiously not only an MMO, but also a browser game.
We seriously doubt that the gameplay will resemble how dynamic things look in this E3 trailer, but more space combat cutscenes will help anyone suffering from BSG withdrawal.
Game description:
Players will be able to choose to play as cylons or humans in a constant struggle to control the universe or just survive its perils. A blend of tactical space combat, exploration, and mission-based gameplay will provide a diverse experience. The dramatic missions will define the game's overall storyline, enabling the player to delve into mysteries of the Battlestar universe. Battlestar Galactica Online will create a new standard for web games, with beautiful 3d graphics and innovative game mechanics bringing a new level of game play to browser based MMOG. Assets from the television production will be integrated into the game to deliver an even more authentic experience.

But interesting to see if this one can survive...
You may like it, but it ain't battlestar
The fact that it's better than a lot of shows today isn't saying anything
Hope this doesn't turn out to be another bomb like Startrek online and has engaging/compelling/balanced combat, questing and progression systems.

If you play on the Cylon side what if any personalization do you have? Your either a tin can or your 6 different skin jobs.
Real Life.
Okay, usually.
EVE online is a deep complex game, if your new to it. Having played a character up to about 20M SP's, I found all the smoke and complexity faded away. Yes, you can have super ultra tactical PvP with using electronic warfare, speed fits, DPS fits etc, traps but all that goes down the toilet if you can get enough chums to follow you and blob them into oblivion. Not to mention the lag in larger scale battles (that CCP specifically boasts and encourages in adverts.) The only reason it's staying afloat is because of the very small niche group of players that multi-box 2-6 accounts.
So for right now it's just hyped-up computer generated graphics.
