Be Quiet Launches New Pure Wings 2 Fan
Be Quiet's Pure Wings 2 is already available in two variations.
German power supply company Be Quiet this week announced a new fan series that it's calling the Pure Wings 2. The company claims that by adding two extra fan blades, it's increased airflow and air pressure while maintaining a nearly inaudible noise level, and recommends the Pure Wings 2 for both water- and air-cooled setups.
Be Quiet is promising an 80,000-hour lifespan thanks to 'high quality' rifle bearings and the fan is available in both 120mm and 140mm variations. These are priced at €10.90 and €11.90, respectively. If you're looking for something a little smaller, Be Quiet is launching 80mm and 90mm versions later this year, though pricing and specific release dates were not discussed.
It's not clear if the Pure Wings 2 series will make it to the United States, but we'll keep you posted.

Haha good one, very good one. On the serious side I wonder how they perform, I'm still using the stock fans on my Thor V2 and I'm looking for quieter solutions -
gm0n3y Using MORE fan blades?!?!? How revolutionary! /sReply
There have been fans with many different numbers of blades for years. -
Calculatron I have been looking more at Be Quiet! products lately. I wish they were more readily available stateside. Their fans looks solid, and I would like to try them. Prices need to be lower, though, because I am not sure if they are necessarily top-tier.Reply -
