Benq today said that it will ship its new FP202W LCD in the fourth quarter of this year. With a response time of 8 ms, the display is the world's fastest 20" wide-screen LCD, the company claims. Other specifications include a maximum resolution of 1680x1050 pixel, and a 600:1 contrast ratio. According to the company, the wide-screen design allows the user to "comfortably" read two pages of text side-by-side. At the same time, this format preserves the display of content such as DVD movies and games in their original format without cropping or compression, Benq said. There was no pricing information for the FP202W available. (THG)
