Biostar Reveals Hi-Fi B85S3+ Motherboard
Biostar is announcing yet another Hi-Fi series motherboard.
After announcing its Hi-Fi H81S3 Micro-ATX motherboard, as well as its Hi-Fi B85N 3D Mini-ITX motherboard, Biostar has further expanded its lineup of Hi-Fi series motherboards with the new Hi-Fi B85S3+ Micro-ATX motherboard. This motherboard, as its name indicates, features the B85 chipset from Intel and has the LGA1150 socket, thus providing support for Intel's new Haswell processors.
The motherboard features Biostar's Puro Hi-Fi Audio, as well as its Hi-Fi AMP (which is a little bit of circuitry aboard that is used as a headphone amplifier). Other 'Hi-Fi' labeled features include Hi-Fi Power, Hi-Fi Ground, Hi-Fi Resistor, and Hi-Fi Cap.
Biostar's new motherboard features four DDR3 memory slots, a single PCIe x16 Gen3 slot, two PCIe 1x slots, as well as a legacy PCI slot. Other features include the presence of six SATA ports, as well as a USB 3.0 header and a handful of USB 2.0 headers. It looks like the motherboard also carries four VRM phases.
External connectivity is handled by two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, 7.1 channel HD audio, an old-school PS/2 port, a VGA port, HDMI, DVI, and lastly, a Gigabit Ethernet port.

Thats cool, I've had to RMA Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, Abit, and Asrock boards for systems I've built for myself and others in the past. I've got a Z77 board that I'm waiting to get back from Gigabyte currently. I'm not saying that any of those brands were bad at all, I have a warm place in my heart for Abit since they're gone, but MSI I still wont touch with a stick. I am saying that everyone has issues now and again, and my experience with Biostar is that they're no less reliable than any of those other brands, and you can get a heck of a deal with their boards sometimes.
