Primera today said that it will be shipping a Blu-ray enabled disc publishing system in April of this year. The "Bravo XR-Blu Disc Publisher" integrates Pioneer's BDR-101A Blu-ray Disc/DVD Recorder and can be loaded with up to 50 single- or dual-layer discs at a time.

The device connects via USB 2.0 to a Windows 2000/XP PC and comes with Primera's Bravo XR-Blu recording and mastering software, which is based on AuthorScript Data Backup with BD Support from Sonic Solutions.

The Bravo XR-Blu will first be shown at the Cebit tradeshow, which will open its doors on 9 March. Primera said the device will be shipping in April for $6000.
