Bulletstorm Gameplay Video, Plus 9 Screenshots
Highly entertaining.
Bulletstorm is one of those over-the-top shooters that we can't wait to play. The folks at Epic Games and People Can Fly demonstrated the game once again on stage at Gamescom, and we're making sure that February 22, 2011 is marked on our calendars.
Here are a few new screenshots to go with the new video:
Set in a futuristic utopia, an elite peacekeeping force thwarts the rumblings of civil war. But deception within the ranks has caused two members of the most feared unit, Dead Echo, to strike out on their own. Now, washed-up mercenaries, Grayson Hunt and Ishi Sato, are stranded on the abandoned paradise planet of Stygia surrounded by hordes of mutants and flesh-eating gangs. They survive on two objectives: get off the planet alive and exact revenge on the man who sent them there.
Taking on the role of Gray, players perform over-the-top combat moves with some of the most uniquely innovative weapons ever seen in a first-person shooter. Every enemy presents a new opportunity for stylish and ever increasingly bloody ways to take them down. The game's signature 'skillshot' system guarantees unprecedented levels of frenetic gameplay rewarding players for inciting mayhem in the most creative way possible. The more insane the skillshot, the more points players collect to upgrade and unlock weapons, which in turn allows them to execute even more inventive moves and exaggerated skillshots.

Sweet.. console or PC.. or both?
I meant console only.. or both
Platform(s) PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows
Thanks to the powers of the internet (mostly Wikipedia) I found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulletstorm
From the article: Platform(s) - PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows
I cant wait for this one. i think its gonna be a blast!
Is it just youtube or is the gameplay in that video super choppy? Other than that, it looks like it could be fun.
I guess Duke Nukem is a free agent now, he seems to have signed a contract with bulletstorm.
Wow this game looks amazing ! Can't wait !
Shallow FOV, stop with 'em small FOV Epic, it annoys me.

Cool.. thanks.. i am way to lazy to search it myself..
Just another shoot em up if you ask me. Has no depth.

You are probably right.. but without actually playing the game.. you really cannot be certain about the depth of the game. Even if it is a mindless fps it still looks fun and like most games it will be worth the $20 i will pay when it hits the bargain bin.
Hey, Quake 3 Arena was a very simple shooter with no depth. Doesn't mean it can't be a great game.
Senseless violence - check
Cheesy one liners - check
...but tbh i was sold as soon as the quad barrel shotty was hauled out (overkill is so under rated)
Hope they fix those freezes and slowdowns before they release it to the public. That may be asking too much though.

True, true. I just believe that they could do so much more with the power of today's gaming engines. All these gaming companies seem so fixated on how spectacular they can make weaponry and explosions. While there is nothing wrong with that, I prefer a more in depth game. I do understand where you are coming from, though.
Alright, I didn't see the second video till just now. I like it. LOL
Holy low frame rates Batman. Boy the 360 does not hold up well at all. If they had Fraps running I bet it was in the 20's.
Looks pretty good, but it's released the same week as Portal 2. I know where my money will be going.
oops, misread that date, 2 weeks later means... one paycheck after Portal 2 is released!
Just learned about this game now. Looks great from the E3 preview.
I only like RPG and RTS games(P.S a pc gamer to the core) except for the rare games like bioshock where you have the best of both worlds a good story and good action
wow very good. I can't wait to play this game.

It's a youtube video. I don't think that's a fair way to judge the graphics of anything.

I wasnt judging the graphics I was judge the performance of 5 year old technology. And the youtube is a weak point to fall back on. Its more likely weak hardware. My 5870 and i5 OC'd will run circles around that game on the same settings.
terrible voice acting.
the game title is a little misleading. there isn't exactly a 'storm' of bullets anywhere.

Gee, ya think? lol
Do you know what pissed me off about this Xbox thing?
Even I get it, there are no freaking server to play online to any game I could actually purchase. So that's why the piracy is still up and running, they don't give gamers like me a chance to game in the way it should be. They don't care about us, why would be paying them for a service we don't get? Sure, 4h campaigns are cool, but not worth 60 dollars for 4hs game. Get servers to Latin America and you will see a bunch of people buying your shit. Just like they did with Starcraft II, servers in Argentina, and with that runs Argentina, Uruguay, part of Brazil and even people from Chile.. Is that much to ask?

Agreed. The clunky controls of a console don't help either. This wasn't the youtube video, this was too much detail for a console to handle. It probably runs great on a mid-level PC though.
