Cougar's GX V3 PSUs Deliver Up To 1050 W

Cougar has announced three new power supplies, all part of the new GX V3 series of PSUs.

The PSUs, known as the GX1050, GX800, and GX 600, can deliver 1050 W, 800 W, and 600 W, respectively.

Cougar has designed the PSUs to also be very efficient. They feature an 80 Plus Gold certificate, with a peak efficiency of up to 93 percent. They also meet a bunch of eco-friendly regulations thanks to the standby power consumption of <0.3 W.

Cooling is achieved by a temperature-controlled 140 mm fan. Also, cable connectivity is partially modular, allowing for even better airflow within the PC enclosure.

Of course, the unit comes with all the safety features we've come to expect from a modern day PSU, including OCP, SCP, OVP, UVP, OPP and OTP.

MSRP pricing is set at $189, $149, and $109 for the GX1050, GX800, and GX600, respectively, with no word on availability just yet.

I have the SX850 from days past. It failed on me randomly (due to poor grounding in the house electrical) but their support replaced it no questions asked. I sent them simply the main unit, but they sent me a whole new box with cables, connections, ties (not zip ties), and everything. Love their support.

Do they not understand it was cool new UI that was the problem to begin with? LOL Why do they think all they have to do is lie, and put on a act, and then think that people will just forget the truth and play along? Also they are forgetting about the crappy economy, And the new forced economy killer called Obama Care. Most people are still running XP not because they prefer it, It is because they are still running Pentium 3's and Pentium 4's, Why? Because they can't afford a new expensive computer when they are barley making bill payments. Plus the new copy of Windows cost allot. Windows has always been unfairly priced. Software should never cost more than $30-$40 Dollars. But Microsoft is allowed to illegally legally run a monopoly for some reason. And yet in America parents will now get arrested for their children running a lemonade stand. Wake Up People!

I love their fans, honestly maybe the best fans you can get utility per dollar. I've heard their support is very nice as well from the few reviews on Newegg where their product did have an issue. Next time I'm in the market for a PSU I'll definitely have to look into Cougar.
