Don't worry we will loan you more money at interest so that you can buy our shiny plastic. We love your money and hope to buy your country someday.

I just got half a box of 6' HDMI 1.3 cables from Amazon for %0.21 each (yes, less than a quarter each!), and a few 12' ones for $3.10. I also picked up several toslink, and a few toslink to mini-toslink (for the Macbook), for $0.37 for the 6' (2M), and $2.10 for the 12'.

Shipping on the lot of it to eastern USA, 20 cables total, was $4.99. I also got the mini-displayport-to-HDMI adapters for under $7 and a VGA adapter for $4.

I stocked up and got enough HDMI 1.3s so that if I put an HDTV, a set top box, and a game console in every room i have at least a basic TV today i could hook it all up, through a stereo if I wanted, and still have spare cables hanging off to hook the notebook up to. Either that, or lets just say i have enough spare cables I won't care if the baby yanks and breaks a few.

HDMI and Toslink cables for less than the cost of a can of soda, priceless!

Oh, btw: $400+ for a 10MP camera that isn't an SLR? what a rip...

$150 off a Macbook ont he other hand, that's even better than the discount I can manage on my own... $850 for that machine is a great buy compared to anything Dell, HP, or Acer offer.

Since we all know that personal debt is now outsourced to China.

Think twice. China actually has a financial stake (and ownership) in a lot more financial firms and companies (think banks) than most Americans realize. It's a very sad, and scary truth. China has their foot into America's door in a way that you haven't realized.

And as much of our crap is made in China these days, let's hope they don't suddenly decide to stop trading with us. We'll suddenly find a major shortage of everything we take for granted.

As far as 3rd world country goes, you should look up how such a term is defined. Because China is one of the nuclear powers of the world, and has a larger standing army than the United States last I checked.
