    5900RPM or 7200RPM? You might as well wait until Christmas if you can because prices will be cheaper then. We are still riding on the flood prices.

    you bet it's 5xxx rpm. You can also get USB2.0 version and demand for 7200rpm disks without a case is high. Or maybe 3.0 version could be 7200rpm in some regions...

    It may be 5900rpm like the 2Tb version :( 
    Also, it doesn't have a power switch so it'll shut off if the computer goes off.
    In addition, it used to have problems if you use it as a backup driver connected to a computer esp. a server in that it powers down after a few minutes but takes awhile to power up. You can NOT change the settings >:( 
    Seagate's external drives aren't that user-friendly which is why I will not buy them again as I returned the 2Tb version and will Never buy another Seagate Expansion drive!
