One more monitor with a crap res.

I swear, are companies just giving up on the whole 2560x1600?
    pathetic.

This ratio monitor would be great for some types of work. Just think of the nice wide timelines when video or audio editing. It would also be great for previewing edits for movies intended for theatrical release.

However, this is really just for media professionals. If I was one I'd want one with a higher resolution.

Would this even be remotely usable for games? I would think it would "squish" your vertical view so badly it would be nigh unplayable.

its about 1/3 wider than a standard 24 inch 1920x1080 monitor, for the price... its kind of reasonable.
you get a wider game (people play games with up to 5 monitors you know) so some people this may be a good monitor to upgrade to if they want the really wide screen.
