Foxconn Shows Off Bamboo PC Cases
Foxconn giving PC some wood.
Looking to make your computer a little more earthy? Foxconn is making a PC cases out of bamboo. Sadly, only the front covers are bamboo, but we've got to save some of it for the pandas.
Foxconn has the Bamboo One and Bamboo II, with the first one being for traditional mid-tower form factors and the second for smaller, HTPC applications.

Why isnt the entire thing bamboo? Just the front looks dumb. If they could match the woodgrain and make it a uniform tone it would be a nice look.
If they made the whole case out of bamboo would it be quieter? That would be interesting to me, and it would look cool enough to be in a home theater set up.
As it sits now I agree it would be cooler if it was totally bamboo.
The stickers ruin it. Also not being completely bamboo ruins it too. Nice concept but poor execution!
The bamboo would be quieter for 1 reason because its thicker then the thin metal but if you want a quiet machine just put rubber matting on the insides of your case etc.
Reminds me of those station wagons with the faux-wood paneling on the sides. Uuuuugly.

The bamboo-on-black is eh, but then they had to muck up even that by going the extry tacky route and slathering it with self-promoting stickers.

It should b the whole outer layer of the unit... otherwise it looks too tackey....

The decals make it look worse than it already is.

Matching the wood grain isn't the style bamboo is laid in. You want to emphasize each pieces unique grain. I do agree that I would want a full case done in it. Just the front panel looks tacky.
The HTPC case actually looks pretty nice... and the mid tower wouldn't be so bad if it was a uniform color, or one solid piece that had been cut.
I'd buy a bamboo-front HTPC case if it fit my decor.
My pc case is made out of maple but then again i'm a carpenter so i don't use bamboo...
If you plan on heavy overclocking in that get a fire extinguisher.

the HTPC case looks good the mid tower is just horrible
Looks like some of the custom pc cases I saw ten tears ago in Japan. I have a genuine mahagony mouse I brought back.
i like the bamboo look . how much will the mid tower be in us dollars ?

I agree with most of the others. Stickers.. bad mmmkay.. It not being all wood looks ugly as hell, they could've just took a thin layer glued it on to the metal, and would've been better off then what they have here.
I like the Front face plate on the PC but the rest sucks
