Gateway today extended its widescreen LCD portfolio with the addition of a 19" display. The FPD1975W comes with similar features like its 21" (FPD2185W) sister model, including 300 cd/m2 brightness, a 8ms refresh rate, a 700:1 contrast ratio as well as an (optional) height-adjustable stand, which allows the user to rotate the screen from landscape to portrait mode. We will leave it up to you, if you consider HDCP support as a "feature." It will restrict the way you can watch or capture high-definition content, but it is a necessary function that is required to watch in HD under Windows Vista.
The 1440 x 900 pixel monitor is available now for $300. The height-adjustable sells for an extra $70 and if you would like to add a speaker bar to the display, Gateway will ask you for another $40.
