Nvidia's Official GeForce GTX 590 Release Video

by - source: Tom's Hardware US

Don't we all want a Crysis 2 setup like that?

Today's the big day for Nvidia's reveal of its new flagship GPU, the GeForce GTX 590. Nvidia teased its release yesterday, and today it has released a new video showcasing the main strengths of the card, which seem to be very good performance at leading acoustic levels.

Check out the video embedded below:

Nvidia's Official GeForce GTX 590 Release Video

Of course, this is just Nvidia's side of the story. Without a real comparison with everything else out there, you're not armed with all the right knowledge. For that, you'll have to check out our full review here.

At first I thought that I was going to waste 8 min of my day getting information that I knew before launch.

But then he was like: "Men who like men may also find themselves inclined to this card."

And I was like: "ZING! Didn't read that in a review!"

Soo, power hungry card, that beats AMD's 6990 only in games with 100+ FPS, while losing where it matters, eh?

Atleast it's not as long as the AMD 6990. Looks to me it's the same size as my GTX 295...This will fit perfect in my mid tower case

Look at the way he handles the card, his greasy mitts all over it, I see a lot of techs handle components this way, bad, static and hand grease all over the contacts.

I like how EVGA included the backplate with theirs. Been thinking about getting one of those for my 580. Too bad this 590 isn't offered on their stepup program :(

Me likes

You guys do realize they were overclocking the card well beyond the cards reference speed right? Anyone pushing a card 30% beyond its designed speeds should be well aware of the dangers they may experience by doing so.

Thank God he is using it on a 30" 2560 x 1600 panel and not wasted on a garbage 1080 TN panel like some idiots do. But at the end of the day the AMD 6990 wins the battle. My 2 6970s in Xfire run my 30" just fine in all games.

Yea, but the card probably should've hit the borderline with regarding to its temp and automatically shut off.

Let's be honest, we've all run our GPU hot and OC'd and had an artifact screen before a forced restart but rarely do they flame up like that.

OK, sorry guys. I do not see a big potential in 590 for a couple of reasons. 1st, it runs noticeably hotter than a normal GTX580, but it's pretty obvious why. 2nd it has a very noticeable drop in performance (aka clock speed). 3rd is there really a point of this powerhouse if the current GTX580 in max SLI (X3) mode beats it hands down with a dedicated physics card? Oh and don’t get me wrong I love nvidia too.

Yes, 3 GTX580's will be faster... and your point being? The GTX580 in 3-way SLI is also over twice the price... not really sure how you drew this comparison.
