Prices for monitor panels are stabilizing this month, as makers put the brakes on fierce pricing, but high inventory levels within the monitor market are likely to push prices down again soon, industry sources commented. The sources pointed out that prices for many 17" monitor panels have dropped below production costs, and in order to prevent prices from falling further, panel makers have hardened their resolve by refusing their clients' requests for more price cuts.
