Lenovo's Vibe Z Packs Snapdragon 800, Dual-SIM Support
The Vibe Z will be available internationally, but it's not clear when.
Back in early September, Lenovo announced the Vibe X, unveiled at IFA 2013, and based on a quad-core MediaTek 6589T CPU clocked to 1.5 GHz. However, if you're more of a Snapdragon kind of person, the company has something for you, too. That something is the Vibe Z, which is a slightly bigger version of the Vibe X that's based on the increasingly popular Snapdragon 800 SoC.
According to Engadget, the Vibe Z packs a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display. This is compared to the smaller 5-inch display on the Vibe X. Other specs include a 13-megapixel camera in the back, a 5-megapixel camera up front, 2 GB of RAM, Adreno 330 graphics, and dual-SIM support. Encouragingly, it looks like we will see this one outside of China, as GSMArena writes that the device will come in a variety of flavors for the Chinese wireless market. A separate GSM + 4G LTE version will be made for the international market.
No word on an international release date, but Lenovo China will be taking pre-orders soon.
