I'm a little confused about Dead Space 2 because
    a) It's not out yet, and won't be out for almost a year
    b) The PC version isn't comfirmed.

I mean, it's a preorder I guess, but it seems a little weird to preorder something that hasn't been confirmed a year in advance.

EA gets to determine any market desire for a PC version by letting companies take pre-orders on a game that might not even exist yet. If enough people pre-order, they'll do a port (sadly, not a PC-optimized version). If barely anyone pre-orders, than the retailers will simply offer a refund.

It's kind of how Microsoft got started. Tell people you have a product (in MS's case, a non-existent compiler), then see if anyone tries to buy it. If they do, hurry your ass up and make it, if not, oh well, it didn't cost you anything.

On the other hand, a quad core with a 1920x1080 screen is a lot more interesting.
