Medium-size Panel Prices To Raise 3-5% In H1 08
Due to limited production capacity, medium-size panels are confirmed to be in shortage until the first half next year, and prices could increase by 3-5%, according to SC Lin, vice president of small- to medium-size TFT business of Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT). With demand for medium-size panels continuing to increase, panel makers have begun switching their production in order to use capacity at large-size panel lines to produce more medium-size panels.
