UK Retailers Spill Beans On Moto G Pricing, Release

Motorola has yet to officially announced the Moto G, but it seems Amazon UK has already let the cat out of the bag as far as pricing is concerned. Android Authority reports that a listing for the Moto G that appeared on Amazon UK has confirmed pricing and a release date for the new device.

If Amazon's information is correct, Motorola's newest phone, which the company will announce on Wednesday, will be available as soon as Thursday, November 14. What's more, the device will apparently be priced at £159.99. The listing has since been pulled and in its place is a 404 Document Not Found notice. Meanwhile, GSM Arena reports that the Moto G has also appeared on the website of another retailer. Tesco has the phone online (which is where the picture you see to the right came from) and priced at £149.99.

Motorola is hosting an event this Wednesday to unveil the Moto G, which is a mid-range smartphone that is rumored to pack a 4.5-inch 720 x 1280 resolution display, 8 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM, a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, a 5-megapixel camera, Android 4.3, and a 1950 mAh battery.

Decent specs at a reasonable price, especially if it has most of the Moto X features and is running Android 4.4. Would be nice to see this priced $199.99 off contract in the U.S.

Agreed, $200 for an off contract phone to use on prepaid service would be awsome.
