Mozilla Releases Firefox 3.6RC2; Final Next Week
A second release candidate hits the web.
Over the holiday weekend, Mozilla released the second release candidate for Firefox 3.6.
At the release candidate stage, major revisions aren't expected, but small tweaks and fixes are part of the process towards the official release.
Those updating from the first release candidate will see that the latest RC2 bump is called a "security and stability update." Grab the download right here.
Other things Mozilla listed as new for this version include:
* Made some changes to how we allow third party software to integrate with Firefox in order to prevent crashes.
* The ability to run scripts asynchronously to speed up page load times.
Look for the final version of Firefox 3.6 to be for everyone a week from today.

Speed isn't everything. Compatibility is kind of a big component too.
Comment2:Na Uh!
Comment1:Ya Huh!
The Comment browser wars have begun!
but seriously, choose the one you prefer and stick with it.
p.s, I thought we had an agreement that every Mozilla related article would have the Firefox chick in it?
I also use Chrome 4 and FF 3.7 pre-alpha and 3.7 blows Chrome away for real world browsing speeds.
lol well if thats the only reason then you also might want to try Google Chrome. The latest beta release (which is actually very stable) has ability to add extensions and the adblock extension is there
If you still have memory leaks, try updating extensions (some require manual checks) then disabling them one at a time until you find the leaky one.
Firefox 3.6 is supposed to mitigate that problem with extensions, too.
