Now to wait for the AMD Catalyst Beta drivers......
Now you need to go back and re benchmark all the nvidia cards in your BF3 performance round up.
So when are they going to fix the Firefox crash caused by 285.62? That's all I care about, so I can play BF3.

lol you know Chris Angelini wants to cry a little.
As much as I love BF3, skyrim will be the reason I am tired over the next month(years? infinite quests)
I love Nvidia!!! I will never buy another ATI card again.....
fanboy alert ^^

Good point... since they're branded AMD now.
To hell with this - not updating to beta. The last stable driver gave weird behaviour of temps after startup, so definitely not touching beta.
This driver does nothing for skyrim...

I'm getting performance issues, the frame rate drops alot from 60 to 40-50 and the gpu usage is between 50% and 80%
Other than that the game is AMAZING
I'm using a phenom II 955 3.8ghz oc + gtx560ti oc @ 1080p maxed
Thank god to those drivers. I'll give them a try when I get back home causer im at work now. Im playing right now MW3 from work cause I HAVE TO since we are still using XP here

I recieved my MW3 copy today and I have to admit I didnt expect BF3 to be so damn good that MW3 now feels so damn lame
The only game I am playing right now is BF3 and it plays great. I wonder if I should even attempt to update, considering it is running fine. Maybe I will just wait until it is released as a regular update.

Agree, now to buy my Sapphire GTX 570 !
would like to add it still didnt fix the artifacting in game. Spec: gtx 570 liquid cooled: max temp 42C
I really hope amd releases new drivers. Using the beta 11.10 doesn't work correctly with other games on steam, etc.
When will tomshardware do a test to see if claims of increased performance for one card will translate into additional performance for other cards?
For example, if a driver claims a 10% performance on the GTX 560, then do a test to see if the GTX 460, GTX 260, and 9800 GTX will get a performance boost in said game.
often with many drivers when there is a performance boost, they often list it for 1 or 2 cards and it is often their latest cards.
I feel this is important because if there is a driver update and it fixes no issues that you specifically has and also offers no improved performance, then there is no benefit in updating in that specific case.
I hoep this fixes my issues; I was getting 90-110 FPS on almost all ultra settings, yet the game kept feeling "stuttery" from time to time, especially when flying at high altitudes on large maps. I also had the black triangles too.
Hopefully this will fix those problems.
Maybe the people reporting issues could say at least CPU /GPU /32or64 ...
SKYRIM releases in 12min... =P, there goes my social life for a bit
Hope this fixes the endless crashes with the GTX 560TI in BF3. I have an ATI 5870 and a 560Ti twin frozr III and and the 560ti can never finish a round in the game without dropping to windows (with current non beta drivers). If you dont believe me google 560ti battlefield 3 crash.
I don't think the 9600GT would see a performance update, I don't get bad shadows anyway. Might as well wait for the next stable release.
I do however get random flashes of a green frame. And it very occasionally crashes during multi (thrice in 6 hours that i've played). Wonder if the green frame will go away with this...
back to work Chris A.
this time add all the cards and configurations that we have been asking for including a complete chart with all GPU's in order of performance.
PLEASE.?! and THANX.
Hi Battlefield 3 Community i found out that even the latest 280.79 drivers are more stable than all the previous 280 versions but i still get the game frozen and kicked out to windows ...so i tried all version since 260 series y i found out a stable drivers the 270.61 WHQL the game didnt kick me once to windows and are more stable that 270.51 beta too... the 260 series couldnt show the floor texture either... i hope that help you all...
I forget to add Dual Core E2180 OC 3.00GHZ / GPU 460 GTX / W7 32 bits / 2 GB Ram and i notice in Task Manager that the game is now not using more than 1GB of Ram only 800 MB ...i hope that helps some of you...

That's because Skyrim is more CPU oriented than GPU. Look at the chart below:

I'm already running smoothly on Ultra with draw distance maxed with 2 GTX460's!!!
