New NV44-based GPU gives another chance to GeForce 6200 with Turbocache
Graphics cards featuring Nvidia's new GeForce 7100 GS graphics processor unit (GPU), which was recently added to the company's entry-level product lineup, will hit the market in the middle of September, according to sources at Taiwan-based graphics card makers.
The GeForce 7100 GS uses the NV44 core, which is currently known as implemented in Nvidia GeForce 6200 GPUs featuring TurboCache technology, and there is also a way to upgrade the GeForce 6200 with TurboCache to the GeForce 7100 GS, indicated the sources.
