Ever wanted to ask one of the big hardware or software giants something directly? Why’d they do that? Where’d the idea come from for that last product? What’s in store next? Well, now you have the chance!

Tom’s Hardware is proud to announce a follow-up of our brand new community features – ASK ME ANYTHING.

On Wednesday, September 11th, we’ll be hosting the next in a series of Tom’s Hardware Ask Me Anythings, and our guests will be official representatives from Patriot Memory!

This thread will be unlocked, open and live for 24 hours starting at 12:00 p.m. noon eastern on September 11, and questions will be moderated and supervised by Tom’s Community Manager, Joe Pishgar, and a full team of Senior Moderators.

Ask Me Anything Rules
• No tech support questions, as these require in-depth personal follow-up and diagnostics.
• All Rules of Conduct apply.
• Keep questions direct and to the point.
• Avoid opinion bias - ie: "Why are all your products awesome/bad/smelly?"
• Be respectful of our guests, no insults, no leading questions.
• Do not post duplicate questions, or repost your question multiple times.
• Not all questions may be answered. Questions may not be answered in the order in which they are received or posted.

    Are you planning on expanding your storage solutions into the mobile market (in terms of being a provider of RAM for ODMs)? What about expanding to SSDs? Finally what is patriot doing to keep ahead of its competition?

    Ive always been under the impression that heat spreaders on system ram were, for the most part at least, not all they were cracked up to be. A lot of them are put on with double sided tape and actually increase heat rather than decrease it. Is that true and are there any plans to improve their use that doesnt involve pointy heat sink fins stabbing me in the fingers?

    Is DDR4 memory the only thing to be looking foward to in replaceing ddr3 memory ? a few other types of memory have poped up over the years and id like to know if there is an alternative to the seemingly slight improvement of the DDR series memory ? it saddens me to know that if cutting my latencies in half would be a better solution for my need for speed if my system wouldnt fail or getting a quad channel capable rig. i know lowering energy costs is the argument for the "improvement" but seems negligible compared to the computer system as a whole and simply having a much higher energy efficient PSU.

    Will you have 16 GBytes (or even 32 GB) memory modules soon? I would love to populate my system with 4x16GB sticks to get a total of 64 GBytes of ram.

    Will there ever again be memory with good timings to go along with high frequency? I miss the good ole ddr3-1600cl6 and ddr3-2000cl7 days.
