CES 2007: Patriot to demonstrate 1302 MHz memory modules
Next newsPre CES 2007 coverage - Fremont (CA) - Patriot is joining the latest DDR2 memory frenzy. Following Corsair's PC2-8888 Dominator (1111 MHz), OCZ's liquid cooled PC2-9200 FlexXLC (1150 MHz) and Kingston's PC2-9600 HyperX (1200 MHz), the company said it would show PC2-10100 devices with a clock speed of 1302 MHz at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show. Patriot claims that the memory will "take full advantage of the new Nvidia Nforce 680i [platform] and the new Intel quad-core processors.
The company will also showcase what it says is the fastest USB flash drive. The Xporter XT version2, available in capacities ranging from 1 GB to 16 GB are rated at a data read rate of 266x, translating to a speed of 39 MB/s. Also, the firm said that it will introduce 16 GB SD HC class 6 card, a 4 GB microSDHC card, a 4 GB miniSDHC card and an 8 GB Xporter USB flash drive.
