PenPower unveils facial-recognition technology and solutions

PenPower Technology, a developer and provider of software recognition technologies and solutions in Taiwan, on November 30 debuted the first three products of the FaceMetrix series, the company's facial-recognition software technology.
PenPower has offered various security-software products based on voiceprint, handwriting and OCR (optical character recognition) technologies, according to company chairman Yih-tay Tsai. The three FaceMetrix products mark PenPower's extension of its business to the biometric field, Tsai indicated.
