Memorex has started selling double-sided miniature recordable DVD-R discs. The discs can store 1.4 GB per side for a total of 2.4 GB per disc. Each disc is coated with Memorex's "DuraLayer" film that protects the data against dust and scratches. -

The Western Digital 7200 RPM drives have been available for a few weeks and the price thankfully doesn't include any coupon or rebate hassles. At this price, we purchased several drives to outfit everyone in the office. -
