Samsung introduced a 2.5" SATA-harddrive that aims at notebook and server applications, such as blade servers. The new 5400 rpm "M40S" drives will be available in capacities ranging from 40 to 80 GByte. Pricing is set at $80 for the 40 GByte version; the 60 GByte drive sells for $100 and the 80 GByte model for $140.
