In keeping with increasing security concerns for protecting mobile data, SanDisk plans to roll out a biometric equipped USB flash drive called Cruzer Profile, in the first quarter of 2006. Security on the USB drive is based on fingerprint recognition, with different levels of security available for protecting personal data.
