Alien: Isolation Pre-Order Content Has Sigourney Weaver

On Wednesday, Sega and Twentieth Century Fox revealed exclusive bonus content that will be dished out to customers who pre-purchase the upcoming horror-fest, Alien: Isolation. This game will be released on October 7 for the two Xbox consoles, the two PlayStation consoles, and Windows PC.

According to Sega, the pre-purchase content will be in the form of two downloadable missions that allow players to relive classic scenes from the Alien movie. The big deal here is that the original cast members from the movie are lending their voices: Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker) and Ian Holm (Ash). Sega does not say who will be voicing Kane.

"Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience," said Alistair Hope, Creative Lead on Alien: Isolation. "It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience."

Sega reports that customers who pre-purchase the game will automatically be upgraded to the Nostromo Edition. In "Crew Expendable," players take control of Ripley, Dallas or Parker immediately after Brett becomes the alien's latest meat cake. Players can explore the ship from the habitation deck down to engineering. However, the object is to lure the alien into the airlock.

Fans who pre-order the game at GameStop will receive another downloadable mission called "Last Survivor." Players enter the story when Ripley is trying to escape using the Narcissus shuttle. The object here is to navigate through the Nostromo, hit the self-destruct button, and then retrace the steps back to the shuttle. Scary.

Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror game that does an excellent job of capturing the tension and fear fans experience in the original Alien movie. We have a hands-on with the game from E3 2014, which can be read right here.

Please, oh please, get this one right. I've always thought an Alien game could be awesome, only to be disappointed with each and every attempt to turn the Alien franchise into a amazing horror game

I'm not sure I could do that. Especially with that warning siren sound from the movie. I saw Alien the year after it came out, and I was 9. Pretty much scarred for life...

No actor for Kane is possibly because the two scenes mentioned occur after Kane is killed by the chestburster ??

If I read the reports of this dlc (which I'm stoked about) yes the game picks up after Ripley and the last 2 survivors are attempting to escape (can never remember the names of the "expendable" cast members, lol).

the whole thing frmo the original Alien Movie is that the Nostromo diverts course(It's a minig ship!) to a distress signal, investigates and encounters a Xeno*morph. in the garbled and likely widely spaced transmissions that follow, they report back to Weland Yutani that one guy has a face hugger on him (Kane) and is not posing a threat to other crew. He's in the Medbay under observation. there's little cause to send a slew of people out there at least for the early transmissions. they probably assumed these roughnecks couldn't tell a rock from a snail and sent out one dude to sort it out. the later transmissions came DAYS later usually through the android (under discretion, orders were for him to acquire the specimen and not worry about live crew members) so, yes...one scientist. that is the evil that is Weyland Yutani.
