SilverStone Announces Compact Raven RV05 Case at CES
Good things come in small packages.
SilverStone today announced the fifth case in its Raven series of PC chassis and it's the smallest one yet. Measuring 217 x 529 x 484 mm (w x h x d), the RV05 boasts a 55.6 liter capacity, which is half the 113.8 liter capacity of the original RV01 case. In fact, the Raven RV05 is so compact, SilverStone reckons people will confuse it with a Micro ATX case, which, it assures us, it is not.

In order to keep the size of the RV05 nice and small, SilverStone focused on eliminating legacy components while hanging onto the essentials. This translates to an exposed slot-loading optical drive bay, 2x 3.5-inch drive bays, 2x 2.5-inch drive bays, 7x expansion slots, an optional PS2 (ATX) PSU, room for up to 12.3-inch long expansion cards (max width 6.69 inches), and CPU coolers up to 165 mm. There's also a 1x 120 mm fan slot on top and included are 2x 180 mm AP181 fans (with 600/900/1200 RPM settings at 17/25/34 dBA), downward compatible with 3x 120 mm fans or 2x 140 mm fans.

No word on pricing or release just yet but we'll keep you posted!

An internal ATX power supply is optional. It could very well use an external brick if the power requirements aren't very high.

There was no mention of any other psu, all that was said was 'an optional PS2 (ATX) PSU'.
Have you considered that it may simply mean it's not bundled with the case?
There is an internal power supply mount. The board is rotated 90° with the expansion slots at the top and the PSU at the top rear.
