Foxconn motherboards to use SiS761GX chipset for AMD solution

Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) announced today that Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) will use the SiS761GX chipset, an integrated AMD64 chipset supporting PCI Express (PCIe) x16 graphics interface, for two of Foxconn's WinFast-branded motherboards for the AMD platform - the 761GXK8 MB-EKRS and 761GXK8MC-ERS.

The SiS761GX fully supports a wide range of AMD platforms, including the Athlon64 X2, Athlon64, Athlon64 FX, AMD Sempron, and Opteron lines, said SiS, adding that backed by the AMD64 platform's Cool&Quiet Technology, the SiS761GX can regulate CPU speeds and frequencies while achieving power-saving efficiency.
