Swiftech Also Builds Luxury R9 290(X) Water Block with LEDs

After recently announcing its Komodo-NV LE water block for high-end Nvidia graphics cards, Swiftech is also announcing its luxury water block for high-end AMD Radeon cards. This water block will be known as the Komodo-R9 LE, and it'll work on reference AMD Radeon R9 290 and R9 290X graphics cards.

Because this is the "LE," or Luxury Edition water block, it comes with LEDs built in. By using color strips, users can change the color of the lighting to shine either red, green, blue or plain white. Combine this with the new recently announced Swiftech Apogee XL CPU block and you can build yourself quite a shiny water loop.

The water block itself covers the graphics card's GPU, VRM and memory. It also comes with a backplate for additional cooling as well as good looks. Connecting the block to your loop should be a snap with the standard G1/4" threads.

The water block will be available from Swiftech as well as other select retailers with an MSRP of $179.99.

This will be great for those who didn't have patience to wait for cards with non reference coolers as you need to upgrade the cooler on it. Might as well get liquid and push it to the max.

I knew they would have to work hard to make people consider taking off the already effective and sexy reference cooler. These are probably the sexiest blocks I have ever seen.
