The Geek Dictionary; for All Your Weird Words

Next news
2:31 PM - April 27, 2009 by Tuan Nguyen

Learning is a key here at Tom's Hardware. We strive to give you the latest tech info on a daily basis. However, once in a while, it's good to share and have some fun with tech too.

You may have noticed that there's a new small banner on the top-left side of the page called Geek Dictionary. This is a place for readers and others to define words commonly used in the tech or gaming community. Not to be with the Glossary, the Geek Dictionary can contain tech-slang and other words more often used in forums, games, and other tech related social gatherings.

FTW and FTL don't seem to be on there at this time, but maybe someone can lend a hand!

The Geek Dictionary is a good place for you to contribute what you know and vote definitions up or down depending on whether you feel it was accurate or funny.

Don't hesitate! Check out our new Geek Dictionary here, powered by Computing.net.

FTW = for the win
FTL = for the loose

ex. My build is pretty ftw it ought to win us the game.
ex. Jimmy has some ftl gear, make sure not to let him know we are going.
