Viewsonic intros cheaper 17- and 19" LCDs
Next newsViewSonic announced four new desktop LCD monitors aimed at the entry-level market. The 17" VA702b and VA712b carry a suggested retail price of $240 and $250; the 19" VA912b and VA912b are priced at $320 and $340.
The basic VA702b offers a 500:1 contrast ratio, a response time of 12 ms and a brightness of 300 nits. The VA712b delivers faster response times (8 ms) as well as more brightness (350 nits).
Similar differences are characteristic for the 19"ers with contrast ratios of 550:1 and 800:1, response times of 8 ms and 20 ms, as well as brightness of 270 nits and 300 nits for the VA912b and VA912b, respectively. (THG)
