What To Expect At The Immersed Europe VR Conference

From September 3-4 in Murcia, Spain, Europeans (and intrepid travelers from all corners of the globe) can enjoy the Immersed Conference, an event bringing together content makers, technology innovators, and professionals the tools and resources they need to build their businesses and excel in their careers with technologies including virtual reality, augmented reality, stereoscopic 3D and more.

There are numerous speakers from various niches in the industry, including luminaries from AMD, Crytek, Sony, Epic Games, Rockstar Games, and many more. This is not to mention the many exhibitors showing off VR, AR and 3D wares and technologies.

Here's a little taste of what to expect at the show:

- Keynoted by Simon Benson, Director of the Immersive Technology Group for Sony Computer Entertainment's Worldwide Studios.- Special virtual reality "Mission Impossible V" exhibit put on my InMediaStudio, Paramount Pictures, and MEC Global. (Hang on the side of an airplane like Tom Cruise!)- Starbreeze Studios is showing "The Walking Dead" in VR with its StarVR HMDs.- AMD, Crytek, Epic Games, IM360, nDreams, and several more are all speaking.- Public exhibition is FREE on Friday evening. Sign up in advance to secure your spot.- See Chernobyl in VR with a Chernobyl360 demo.- Check out Nucleus VR's new Metaverse technology based on the CastAR augmented reality glasses.- Unique speakers and ideas reflective of the European immersive market.

There will also be some as-yet-unannounced surprises, including something related to content that will be a VR first. (We really wish we should say what it is, but the Immersive Technology Alliance, which runs the event, made us promise to keep it under wraps.)

On Friday evening, September 4, there will be exhibits that are free and open to the public. Tom's Hardware readers can get a special 100 € discount on the full rate of admission by using the "TomsHardwareImmersedEurope" discount code in Eventbrite. You can acquire your tickets here.
