The M3A-MVP will be based on the RD780 chipset, which is the single graphics version of RD790 (16 instead of 32 PCI Express 2.0 lanes). PCI Express 2.0 doubles the bandwidth per lane and stream from 250 MB/s to 500 MB/s. This motherboard supports DDR2 mem
The K8A2 Platinum by MSI uses a six-phase voltage regulator design, as opposed to Gigabyte's 12 phases. This board also will have four PCI Express 2.0 x16 connectors that run eight lanes each.
