You can’t have a Babylon 5 PC game without the actual Babylon 5 ship. In addition, several of the TV show’s actors were on board with Sierra to provide voice acting for the title.

Into the Fire, produced by Sierra Entertainment and its development studio Yosemite Entertainment, was going to be a space combat simulator that put players in some of the Babylon 5 spacecrafts.
Sierra worked with Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski and Babylonian Productions to make sure the plot of Into the Fire was part of the Babylon 5 canon. Specific plot details were kept super-secret.
