According to Sierra, Into the Fire was going to have more than 1,000 different ships and 200 unique locations.

Into the Fire was designed to give players a choice between a story-driven mode and a straight-up action mode for both single player and multiplayer gameplay.
Because of internal problems and corporate restructuring, Sierra cancelled Babylon 5: Into the Fire in 1999 and even closed down Yosemite Entertainment.
