Because of internal problems and corporate restructuring, Sierra cancelled Babylon 5 : Into the Fire in 1999 and even closed down Yosemite Entertainment.

According to Sierra, Into the Fire was going to have more than 1,000 different ships and 200 unique locations.
Other companies such as British developer Codemasters and startup Sector 14 Studios attempted to purchase the Babylon 5 game's assets from Sierra so that Into the Fire could be completed but Sierra declined to sell the assets.
