It’s been a weird week for Google and its Maps Street View team. One crowd of British folk who had a problem with the idea of having their streets photographed for the internet decided to take the matter into their own hands. Instead of just requesting the pictures be removed after it had been taken and used on Google Street View, they community physically forced the Google Street View car out of the area in order to stop the photos being taken in the first place.

It seems that residents aren’t the only ones who have had a bone to pick with the Google Cars. Last summer, while a Google Car was busily snapping the streets of Bradford, England, a British traffic cop attempted to stop the car for what we presume to be a Bicycles/Buses/Taxies Only lane violation. But instead of pulling over, the Google car sped off, with the police car tearing after it complete with lights and sirens. The cop eventually caught up and the Google Car did pull over. The best part about all this? It was photographed on Street View.

I used to work for Compuserve customer service back when service was charged per min. I can't tell you how many phone calls I had to deal with 1000 dollar bills cause a modem hang up connected all month.

So what garentee is Time Warner going to give that they are only metering actual usage and not some virus, malware or hell even the data all the ads take up?

A cap of 40GB per month is a joke. At that rate the United States Postal Service provides more bandwidth than Time Warner with all the Netflix discs they deliver.
