Origin PC Chronos Steam Machines Will Have SLI Edition

Here are two Steam Machines from Origin PC.
Along with a number of other ODMs, Origin PC has revealed two Steam Machines to be released this year: the Chronos Standard Edition and the Chronos SLI Edition. Unfortunately, pricing is unknown at this point as well as a firm release date. However, as with the other Steam Machine providers, these specs will be completely customizable when the Steam OS machines finally arrive.
Here are the specs for the Standard Edition:
- Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Impact
- Optional Custom Paint with Automotive Finish
- Liquid-Cooling: ORIGIN FROSTBYTE 120 Sealed Liquid Cooling Systems
- Processor: Up to an Intel Core i7 4770K Quad-Core at 4.0-4.5 GHz with ORIGIN PC Professional CPU Overclocking
- Power Supply: SG08 600 watt
- Graphics Card: Up to Single 3 GB Nvidia GTX 780 Ti with Professional GPU Overclocking
- Memory: Up to 16 GB 2133 MHz (2 x 8 GB)
- OS: Steam OS (Will Include Optional Dual Boot to Windows 7 or Windows 8 Home or Pro)
- Hard Drive 1: Up to Dual 1 TB Samsung 840 Evo Series
- Hard Drive 2: 4 TB Western Digital Black SATA 6.0 Gb/s, 7200 RPM, 64 MB Cache

And i think they were going for 24 GB 3 x 8
Origin is obviously going to high-power and you can't get the power of dual 780 Ti any other way can you?

You are totally right. If you got the cash then why not. But the truth of the matter is that most people will hook the steam box up to a HD TV 1920 * 1080 and with one 780 Ti that should be more than enough.
But then again ther are the lucky ones who have 4k TV´s.
